Welcome back! I wish you and your families a healthy and prosperous 2011 :) We had a great first start of the school year and enjoyed making New Year's Resolutions.
Just a few reminders:
1) Homework has begun again! In the hustle and bustle of last year's clean-up we seem to be missing some green Etude de Mots folders, please have a look at home to see if they are there.

Our reading strategies:
Reading before and after the unknown word and/or idea to grasp better understanding (using context).
New Reading Log sheets are being sent home for 15 minutes of reading each night.
Mathematics:
We are starting our unit on measurement incorporating temperature, mass, capacity and all good things able to be measured, stay tuned...
Problem of the Week folders will begin again this Wednesday. Look out for the blue folders.
2) Lost Items
Please be sure to remind your children to leave valuables at home. We are currently looking for an R4 game for a Nintendo DS and a small flashlight. Please have a look at home and/or in your child's knapsack.
