Obwisana!

In Social Studies we are studying various forms of community, both urban and rural and world communities. We are comparing forms of shelter, food, climate and also music. In the spirit of Black history month we are using the beginning two lines of this song: "Tue Tue barima tue tue" as a call and response this month for the children's signal in the classroom. The primary choir will be learning a simplified version of this Ghanaian song originally used as a form of song play using sticks. "Obwisana sana sa" literally means, "I hit my finger on a rock." We will be learning in class the stick game that goes along with the song.

Enjoy the music! Feel to try the game at home!
