Un gros merci to all who brought something special to share at our Holiday Party today. We made decorations for our tree: each representing something that is unique to each student in our class, we then watched a movie with Mme Camara's class, made cookies following a recipe (an example of procedural writing that we are working on) and then enjoyed our party.
My thanks for all of the warm wishes, gifts and donations made to those in need on my behalf.
My sincere wish for a restful, safe and peaceful holiday and best wishes for the new year.
And for those who celebrate Christmas, a very Merry Christmas to you all!
For those who might be last minute shopping, an organization that I support is Free the Childen.
Free the Children empowers children in North America to take action to improve the lives of fellow children overseas. Through their leadership and international programs they have brought over 650 schools and water projects to communities across the world. In the summer of 2008 I had the opportunity to take students to Arizona and Mexico through a summer leadership program. We were involved in migration studies, water and community projects in Agua Prieta, Mexico. At Clairlea, we continue to support Free the Children through various fundrasing initiatives at the school.

Be well, safe and merry :)
